I’ve been using a piece of software called BookCat to organize my growing book collection. I haven’t really messed with many of the features it has because I just wanted to get the relevant book information in there and saved and backed up for safety purposes. Finding myself bored due to the inclement weather all day today, I casually looked through the program and found out that you can export your collection to html files, so I did.
Click here to view my entire collection. I’m not sure how much I like the layout and the exporting is sort of weird since the tagging inside the program itself is not exactly spot on, so I may have to go through and organize it a bit and re-export. But for now, it’s doing exactly what I want.
For the few readers I do have, I’d really appreciate you adding yourself to the Google Friend Connect on the right side bar. If you don’t have anything Google—and why the hell not!?—you can still add yourself through your AIM or Yahoo and even OpenID accounts.
I’m really just interested in getting to know who’s actually reading the crap I throw up here at irregular intervals and it only takes seconds to sign up.
Personally, I find The Mars Volta to be one of the most original sounding and talented bands of the last 20 years. Every new album they release surprises me in a way I didn’t think was possible. If you haven’t heard them, you can listen to some of my favorite tracks in the player I’ve added below. Really, listen to these guys.
